More on One Man Banned (Aaron Daniel)…

“One Man Banned”, the latest brainchild of singer songwriter Aaron Daniel is a dynamic, dramatic, sometimes humorous puree of multifaceted sounds. With a bullhorn in one hand and an acoustic guitar in the other Aaron Daniel single-handedly creates a surprising full band effect. Aided by a loop pedal he builds each track from scratch in front of a live audience. Through the use of beat boxing, his incredible vocal range and refined guitar skills Aaron assembles a strong, unpredictably original sound.

More on Timmy Sunshine & The Conductors…

Timmy Sunshine & The Conductors Formed as a 2 piece side project featuring Timmy Sunshine who wrote all the songs about a former Love as well as Haunting tales of the sea and everything in between. Jarrod Fenner produced the album and played all percussion, flutes, harps and the like. The Conductors added and subtracted a couple members through the process of recording their album searching for the most versatile and talented people they could find. The final lineup of genius Conductors now consists of Kristi Nelson with her unmatched breath taking vocal talent, guitar, and piano skills. Adam Campbell on Banjo, Zack VanHouten with his Pedal Steel guitar and Telecaster, and The final element that really changed the sound of the album is Evan Kuykendall with ambient Cello and Classically trained violin skills. This 6 piece band will be releasing their first full length album “Lost at Sea” including over 15 tracks of heart felt harmonies and quips ranging from death to the stars to the sea, and will be embarking on a west coast tour Summer 2010

Self described as folk music, this 10-track album is a diverse soundscape. Timothy DenAdel wrote every song and Jarrod Fenner produced the album. Timmy sang lead vocals, played guitar and piano. Jarrod handled the percussion, harmonica, ukulele, back up vocals, kazoo and any other noises that one might hear. At live shows they have a full band and do a great job of portraying the record. Some of the songs are upbeat dance tunes while the majority are lovesick, heartfelt gems. Even the happy sounding songs are lyrically dark. The 9th track, “Ship & Captain” is a simple yet catchy chord progression. Lyrics like: “This Captain goes down with his ship / you’re in my ship / my body aches with all the mistakes I’ve made / and you’re not here babe,” show the realness of Timmy’s heartache. The layers of diverse overdubs, added by Jarrod, gives the record a huge sound; on this track he slipped in a juice harp. The last song of this wonderful collection is called “Wine, Wine, Wine”. Glorious piano riffs and solid rhythm guitar paired with a two part harmony chanting the same lyrics over and over, leave your ear wanting more. It’s basic and beautiful. Sustained piano solos build the dynamic to a breaking point. Right when you think they’re going to give the ear what it’s been yearning for, the song and the album abruptly ends. Walt Disney said, “Always leave them wanting more”. The Conductors flawlessly followed his advice. -Whats Up Magazine
