CHUKKI STARR: http://myspace.com/chukkistarr
Born in Harlesden, London, Tito Williamson aka Chukki Starr, started out as a deejay – then under the name Chukki Brown – for his own formed Echo Tone Hi Fi soundsystem in the Stone Bridge Community. His debut recording “Goodas Gal” was produced by Stonehead of the Uk-based ‘Volcano’ Sound. After joining his family in Jamaica he voiced some specials in Jamaica. In 1993/1994 Chukki Starr returned to the UK, teamed up with Gussie P. of “Fashion Records”. He released a series of hits including “Career Time”, “Evilous System”, Who Dem Fi Rate” and Almighty Father’. Back in Jamaica Chukki Starr performed in Western Kingston on the sound system circuit. These activities were followed by sessions for several top producers. He recorded a couple of tunes for Bobby ‘Digital’ Dixon and African Star and voiced lots of specials for several Jamaican sounds. From that time on he built up a special relationship with Bobby Digital as well as African Star.
By 1997 Chukki Starr was considered to be one of UK’s top deejays, also due to the considerable success of his own Makiel label release, “Forever I Shall Praise”, and the combination hit with Aisha, “Hard Times”. It was his association with Ariwa’s Mad Professor that led to the release of his highly acclaimed debut album, “Ghetto Youths Livity”. Lyrically Chukki Starr always concentrates on conscious themes.
Chukki will on tour celebrating the release of his newest album “Most Wanted” and will be backed by Californias Irie Sound.

MATEO MBLEM: http://myspace.com/mateomblem
Most fans would compare Mateo Mblem’s musical sound to classic southern soul, 2-step, dancehall and roots music, while the lyrical content entails a deep-rooted conscious sound. With a righteous tongue, Mateo Mblem embellishes on current events affecting our world today and voices a range of opinions on religion, racism, socialism and politics. Mateo Mblem was born and raised in the slums of Newark, N.J. where statistics have proven that if you’re still alive and of ‘drinking’ age, you deserve that drink! Mateo Mblem was fathered by The Tip Tops’ sound of ‘Smitty’ (father/bass player) and other band members, with roots in Soul/R n B and Blues of the 70’s. Naturally Mateo Mblem developed an ear for music at an early age by growing up in a home surrounded by blaring soul music sounds from Bob Marley to Prince and the soulful ambience of the likes of Barry White.
Mateo Mblem has performed at countless venues and events in Europe which accidentally catapulted his star status. These performances occurred during a time that proved to be one of his darker periods while serving a military term overseas. However, his struggle inspired the sounds we hear today. From Germany to Spain, Mateo Mblem rampaged the streets and stages promoting good vibes and peace on a global scale.
UMAMI: http://myspace.com/518503501
Umami is a diverse collection of musicians and personalities, styles and flavors. Drawing members from local groups such as Proceed and the Jovon Miller Ensemble, UMAMI creates a sound that is as accesible as it is unique. By using the sounds of deep basslines, slinky and sneaky guitar, snappy and soulful horns, and massive percussion, UMAMI strive to make all who hear it at least tap a foot-if not shake an ass. Founded in late 2009, this is a new, fresh group of fine young men ready to show Bellingham a sound they have been waiting to hear.
